On Wednesday December 16, 2022 the City Commission approved a contract award of more than $35 million to Buslam Company Partners Inc. for construction of Bayshore Park, the 19-acre passive park in the heart of Miami Beach. Approval of the contract award required securing additional funding beyond the currently funded $26 million project budget. The City Commission approved a $10 million capital budget amendment for the project. The City is pending approval for a $3 million grant from the State of Florida for the remaining gap.
Buslam is currently working in the City on North Beach Oceanside Park. The City expects to break ground within 3-4 months of securing this funding.
